Thursday 8th of February at Ranby House was our first instalment of the Taste Buddies initiative headed up by Chef Alex.
Pupils are given a passport created by our very own design team, and taste their way through the pages/countries, collecting stamps on their way. We then put the tasted dish on the main menu the day after, so they are familiar with what they have previously tasted, therefore encouraging to try the new dish.
Kicking off with the Luna New year celebrations the pupils are participating in at school we had - Battered Chicken Skewers with Sweet & Sour Dipping sauce and Chow Mein Noodles on a Prawn Cracker.
The uptake was fantastic by our Y6 students, who even came back for seconds! With every pupil having a try and collecting a stamp on their passport we look forward to our next event - Greece
